Cacao Recipes for the Seasons

 

Spring: Rosemary Lavender Cacao

Ingredients (Serves 1)

  • 2 Tbsp Ceremonial Grade Cacao

  • Pinch rosemary, ground semi-fine

  • Pinch culinary lavender

  • 1/3 cup warm coconut milk, or milk of choice (not boiling)

  • 2/3 cup hot water (not boiling)

  • pinch ground cardamom (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp maca powder (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp reishi mushroom powder (optional)

Place cacao and herbs (and other optional ingredients) in your cup. Add sweetener of choice if desired. Stir with molinillo or immersion blender until you get a small froth.

Set some intentions and enjoy.

Rosemary is uplifting to the senses and gently warming to the body. It works as a mild analgesic, is antibacterial, brings clarity to mind.

Lavender is calming, and used widely as a treatment for anxiety and chronic stress.
